Sofosbuvir Tablets 400mg (Resof) :

Sofosbuvir Tablets 400mg Hepatitis is used along with other medications for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. It may also be used in combination with ribavirin for patients with advanced cirrhosis.

Don’t skip any doses or finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. If you miss a dose, you may take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose or go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It has fewer side effects as compared to other similar medicines, like fatigue, headache, nausea, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), and anemia (low red blood cell count).

Dosage :

Missed Dose :

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose :

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

Use in Children :

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Hepatitis B :

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a known history of hepatitis B due to the increased risk of reactivation of hepatitis B infection. This may cause serious liver problems including liver failure and death. Screening for hepatitis B prior to beginning treatment, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.
